Hello everyone! Today I've got the first of several Trusty Tools Projects to show you. I've been excited to use this set since it first came out. The various tool designs in this set offers endless possibilities. The open line-images are perfect for coloring. Simply choose your favorite coloring technique and bring these images to life, making them stand out on all your paper projects! This is the first of six projects, so be sure to check back in the coming days to see them all.
for this card, I aimed for a pop of color by choosing a neutral background of Basic White and Pebbled Path, which really makes the bright Petunia Pop "POP"! To add depth to the background, I used the Painted Texture embossing folder.
I embossed a Basic White CS layer with the Painted Texture embossing folder and adhered it to the card base. To add some contrast, I glued a piece of neutral DSP to the bottom half of the embossed layer. On a 3" X 4" piece of Thick Basic White CS, I Used a blending brush to blend Petunia Pop ink on the upper section, and then splattered ink over it using a Dark Petunia Pop Stampin' Blend Marker.
Sticking to the neutral color palette, I stamped the sentiment in Pebbled path ink at the bottom, wrapped some linen thread around it, tying a bow for added interest. Finally, I adhered this piece to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.
I stamped the paintbrush image onto a piece of white CS using Memento Ink. Then I used the paintbrush die from the Trusty Tools Dies to cut them out using the Cut and Emboss Machine.
I used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the die-cut paintbrushes above the sentiment and added a Petunia Pop paper flower and a few iridescent pearls for some extra interest. I attached a piece of white cardstock measuring 4" x 5-1/4" to the inside to complete the project.

4 1/4" X 11” pebbled Path Cardstock (score and fold at 5 ½”)
4 1/8” X 5 3/8" Thick Basic White CS (front)
2 1/4" X 4” DSP (front)
3” X 4 1/4" This Basic White CS (front - sentiment)
4” X 5 1/4" Thick Basic White CS (inside)
