Hearts & Hugs

Hey everyone! Today I am sharing the first of several projects featuring the Hearts & Hugs stamp and die bundle. I knew I had to create some projects with this bundle as soon as I saw it in the new Stampin' Up! catalog.  The cuddly animal images and sentiments in this set are adorable and coordinate perfectly!

For this card, I started with a Petunia Pop CS base, layering it with some Thick Basic White CS and a second layer of Unbounded Beauty DSP for extra flair. For some contrast, I cut a strip of the same Unbounded Beauty DSP, flipped it over and used the reverse side, then layered it toward the bottom of the card front.

For the banner, I used Petunia Pop CS and the largest banner from the Nested Essentials Dies and adhered it with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Then I played around with the Stylish Shapes Dies for some circles, and layered them on with dimensionals for added interest.

I stamped the adorable badgers on a scrap piece of Thick Basic White CS, colored them in with Gray Granite Stampin' Blends, and then cut them out with the coordinating die. I used Stampin dimensionals to add them to the top of the circles.

I stamped the sentiment on a scrap piece of Thick White CS and cut it out using a banner from the Stylish Shapes Dies.  I added it to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I finished off the inside of the card with a piece of Thick White CS and a sweet little heart stamp in the corner.

4 1/8” X 5 3/8" Thick Basic White CS (front)

4" X 5 1/4” Unbounded Love DSP (front)

1 3/4” X 5 1/4”  Unbounded Love DSP (front)

3” X 4 1/4" This Basic White CS (front - sentiment)

4” X 5 1/4" Thick Basic White CS (inside)
