Creative Thursday- Florals in Bloom Hello Card

Thursday, June 5, 2025

I had so much fun creating this sweet and simple card using the Pretty Florals and Sweet Blooms Bundles along with the Florals in Bloom Designer Series Paper. I just love how everything came together—layer, textures, and soft pops of color.

The Cloud Cover cardstock base gave me a perfect soft starting point, and the layered DSP brings in just the right amount of color and contrast.
To create the floral focal point, I used the Pretty Florals dies—the flower is cut from Bubble Bath cardstock, and the leafy stems are done in Garden Green.
The sentiment is stamped in Secret Sea Ink and layered onto a label cut with the Everyday Arches Dies. I popped it up with dimensionals and added a few In-Color Flat Pearls to finish off the front. On the inside, I added a panel of Basic White cardstock and a strip of coordinating DSP to keep the design flowing from outside to in.
Card Measurements
Card Base (Cloud Cover cardstock: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
DSP Layers: 5-3/8 x 1-1/2" and 5" x 3-1/4"
Label (Everyday Arches Die) approx.: 2-1/4" x 1"
Scraps: Bubble Bath and Garden Green cardstock for die-cut flower and stems
Inside Layer: 3-3/4" x 5" Basic White with DSP strip 1/2" x 5"
