Sunrise Sailing Bundle Cofee and Cards No. 1

 ⛵Ahoy, Crafty Friends!

I had so much fun creating this nautical card using the Sunrise Sailing Bundle! This bundle is packed with charm, from the detailed sailboat dies to the hybrid embossing folder that adds texture and dimension to your background in just one pass through your machine.

I used Misty Moonlight cardstock and ink to create a bold, coastal vibe, and paired it with the Country Woods DSP for a soft, weathered wood look that ties everything together.

The background panel was embossed and shaded with Misty Moonlight and Balmy Blue inks to create a dreamy ocean scene. I love the texture the torn edge adds—it gives the card a relaxed, driftwood-like feel. I layered everything with Stampin’ Seal and Stampin’ Dimensionals to give it depth, then added a stitched sentiment banner from the Nested Essentials Dies stamped with a cheerful “ahoy!”

Here’s a look at the completed card—how cute is that little sailboat all popped up against the layered sky and sea?

The inside of the card got a little love, too. I added a panel of Basic White, stamped the waterline image in Balmy Blue, and blended the ink out for a soft, shaded effect. A few little seagulls in Basic Gray finished it off. Just a sweet, simple detail that brings it all together!

And here’s another look at the full card from above. I love how the dimension and textures really shine from this angle. You can see that torn edge, the raised boat, and the contrast of the designer paper layered underneath—it’s just such a calm, happy little card!

Huge thanks to Julie Davidson for the inspiration behind this project! I loved her layout and the way she used this bundle—it sparked so many ideas and made me want to run straight to my craft table.

Card Base: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored at 4-1/4"

Basic White CS layer: 4-1/8" x 5-3/8"

DSP layer: 4" x 5-1/4"

Embossed Layer: 3" x 5"

Basic white scrap for stamping and die cutting: 4" x 5-1/4"
