Coffee & Cards - Storybook Moments Card No. 1

Wednesday, September 24, 2025

Hey friend! Today I'm sharing one of the cards we created during yesterday's Coffee & Cards Class using the Storybook Moments Specialty Designer Series Paper.

If you've never joined me for Coffee & Cards, I'd love for you to pop in for some creative fun! I go live every Tuesday at 10:00 AM Central on both Facebook and YouTube, and it's always a great time to connect and create together.

If you'd like to watch the full tutorial for this project, you'll find the video replay link at the end of this post.

Here’s the full view of the finished card. I started with a Crumb Cake card base, which always feels like the perfect neutral for layering. To add some beautiful texture to the background, I added another layer of Crumb Cake cardstock and ran it through the Damask Design embossing folder. It gave the card that extra bit of elegance without overpowering the rest of the design.

Next, I layered on a piece of the Storybook Moments Specialty Designer Series Paper. The soft patterns in this paper are gorgeous, and they complement the nature-inspired elements beautifully. I die-cut two circles using the Stylish Shapes Dies—one in a blue patterned paper and one showcasing that adorable little critter holding a flower. Aren’t those details just the cutest?

For the sentiment, I used the Mixed Labels Bundle. I cut out the label shape and stamped “You’re Pretty Wonderful” in Early Espresso Ink. Before adding it to the card front, I tucked some Linen Thread behind it for a touch of texture and then popped it up on Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish, I added a few Antique Pearls—because every card deserves just a little bit of bling!

I just love how this card turned out—the mix of texture, soft colors, and that sweet little woodland image makes it such a joy to give (or keep on your desk for inspiration!). I hope this project sparks an idea or two for your own crafting time. If you’d like to recreate it, all of the products I used are available in my online store. Don’t forget to catch the video replay for step-by-step instructions. Until next time, happy stamping!
