Weekly Card Class - Story Book Moments & More Messages

Sunday, September 28, 2025

Hey Friend! Today I’m sharing a project from our weekly live card class. Every Thursday at 3 PM Central, I go live on Facebook and YouTube to walk you through two fun projects featuring a Stampin’ Up!® product of the week.

This card was one of the designs we created together using the Storybook Moments Designer Series Paper and the Storybook Garden Patch Bundle

If you missed the live, no worries—you’ll find the replay link at the end of this post so you can catch all the details.

Here’s a look at the whole card. I started with an Early Espresso card base. And added a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock. I used the largest square from the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut a window right in the center. After that, I ran it through the Damask Embossing Folder to give it some beautiful texture. On the back side, I glued a piece of Storybook Moments Designer Series Paper so that the patterned design peeked through the window. To finish off this layer, I wrapped some Linen Thread around the bottom and tied a bow off to the left side before adhering it to the card front.

For the details, I stamped the watering can, shovel, and clay pot images onto Very Vanilla cardstock using Memento Black Ink. I colored them in with Stampin’ Blends: Pecan Pie for the clay pots, Cloud Cover, and Gray Granite for the watering can and shovel. I tucked the stamped shovel image behind the watering can and then added a die-cut strawberries from the Storybook Moments Specialty Designer Series Paper. Everything came together for such a sweet little cluster of gardening goodness!

The sentiment came from the More Messages Stamp Set and was cut out using the coordinating die. I popped the watering can and clay pots onto the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals to add depth and dimension. For a finishing touch, I scattered a few Antique Pearls across the front for a little shimmer and added a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock inside to finish off the card.

This project turned out to be so much fun and full of texture—it really feels like a little garden scene! I hope it inspires you to play with embossing, layering, and coloring on your own cards.
