BRUSHED WITH BEAUTY | YOU'RE A GREAT FRIEND

Today I am sharing card #3 from Thursday's 3PM card class. Today’s card is so beautiful… I’m in love with the soft florals and layered textures! This project features the Brushed with Beauty and Words of Beauty Bundles, and it came together in such a gorgeous way.

I started with a Crumb Cake card base and layered another piece of Crumb Cake cardstock embossed with the Beautiful Pattern Embossing Folder. That subtle texture adds so much interest without taking away from the focal point, so pretty!

Next, I added two strips of Brushed with Beauty Designer Series Paper along the left edge, slightly staggered and overlapping for a layered look. Then I created my focal point using a die-cut vellum circle from the Spotlight on Nature dies.

For the flower, I stamped the outline in Calypso Coral, stamping off first to get that soft, watercolor effect—and I did the same with the filler image. The leaves were stamped in full-strength Mossy Meadow, and the flower center in Early Espresso. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out, then adhered the leaf and center to the flower.

To add a little extra texture (because you know I love that!), I tucked a linen thread bow behind the flower and adhered it to the vellum circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The “because” sentiment is created using dies 2 and 3 from the Words of Beauty Bundle. I die-cut it from both Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake cardstock, layered them, and popped it up with dimensionals for a little depth.

I adhered the vellum circle to the card front with liquid adhesive, then stamped the “You’re a great friend” sentiment in Early Espresso and die cut it using the largest label die from the Words of Beauty Bundle.

To finish the card, I added a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock to the inside for a clean space to write a sweet message, and sprinkled a few Pearls of Beauty embellishments on the front for that perfect finishing touch.

This card is just so beautiful—soft, textured, and full of lovely details. Stop it… I seriously love how it turned out!
