BRUSHED WITH BEAUTY | i APPRECIATE YOU

Sunday, March 29, 2026

Hey friends!

Today I’m sharing the second card we created during my live class on Thursday, March 26, 2026—and this one is all about that soft, dreamy watercolor look. Seriously… are you kidding me?! I’m in love with how this background turned out. If you missed the live, you can catch the replay using the link at the bottom of this post.

If you’ve never joined me live before, I go live every Thursday at 3:00 PM CT on Facebook and YouTube, and we create three projects together using my featured product of the week. It’s always such a fun time!

For this card, we started with a Very Vanilla card base and added a layer of that gorgeous Brushed with Beauty Designer Series Paper. Then came the fun part… the watercolor background. I used Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and a Water Painter to lay down some water first, then added two layers of color using Petal Pink and Calypso Coral. The colors blended so beautifully and created that soft, artistic wash—so beautiful!

For the focal point, I stamped the flower outline in full-strength Darling Duckling ink and the leaves in Old Olive. I also stamped and die cut the flower center in Memento Black, which really helps everything pop. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut all the pieces out.

Once the watercolor panel was completely dry, I layered it onto the card front. I added a little Linen Thread behind the flower and leaves for some texture, then popped everything up in the upper right corner with Dimensionals. I love how that little detail adds so much interest!

The sentiment was stamped in Mossy Meadow onto a die-cut label from the Words of Beauty Bundle—such a clean and simple touch that balances out the background perfectly.

For the inside, I added a Very Vanilla layer with a strip of Designer Series Paper along the bottom to tie everything together.

To finish it off, I added a few Pearls of Beauty embellishments for just a little shine… because you know I can’t resist!

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed today’s project!
