Clean and Simple | Notes of Spring

Hi friends! Today I’m sharing the first card from this week’s live card class, and this one just makes me smile. It features the Notes of Nature stamp set, our March Product of the Month from Stampin’ Up!

I chose a fresh, happy color combo for this card, and the Daffodil Delight really brings it to life. I started with a Thick Basic White card base, then layered on a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock with that fun Mixed-Up Patterns Designer Series Paper on top. That pattern is so good, it adds so much texture and interest without taking over.

To ground everything, I added a ¾" strip of Daffodil Delight across the lower center of the card. It’s a simple detail, but it really helps anchor that focal point.

Now let’s talk about this sweet little goose. I stamped the image in Crumb Cake ink along with the cattails, and then stamped off in Crumb Cake to create that soft grounding under the cattails. It gives just enough depth without being too heavy. I colored the beak with Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends (such a fun little pop of color!) and layered the piece onto Daffodil Delight cardstock before popping it onto the card front with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment, “Especially for you,” is stamped in Early Espresso on a Crumb Cake banner die-cut from the Stylish Shapes dies. I love how that soft brown keeps everything warm and cohesive.

To finish it off, I scattered a few muted palette dots across the front, just enough to add a little texture and shine.

This card is so clean, cheerful, and easy to recreate… and honestly, that goose is just too cute!
