Stamped in Ink: Notes of Spring Happiest Birthday

Hi friends! I’m back with another card from this week’s live class. This one uses the same layout as yesterday’s card, but with a completely different feel. And honestly… I love how just switching up the paper and image changes everything!

This card features the Notes of Spring stamp set, March 2026 Product of the Month. I chose this sweet little deer as the focal point. I stamped the deer in Crumb Cake ink, then stamped off and used the filler stamp to color in the body. This is a simple two-step stamping technique that gives such a soft, layered look. I did the same thing with the cattails, stamping them in Crumb Cake and stamping off to create that subtle depth. Everything was stamped onto Basic White cardstock to keep it nice and crisp.

Now, I have to say… I reached for the Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper for this one and didn’t realize until after the fact that it’s retired. Oops! But if you have something similar in your stash, it works beautifully here. I layered that plaid onto Early Espresso cardstock and adhered it to the left side of a Basic Beige card base.

To ground the focal image, I added a small strip of Early Espresso cardstock across the lower center of the card. Then I layered the stamped deer piece onto Early Espresso cardstock and popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment, “Happiest Birthday Wishes,” is stamped in Early Espresso on a Crumb Cake banner die-cut from the Stylish Shapes dies. I added it with a combination of liquid glue and dimensionals for a little extra dimension.

To finish things off, I added three muted palette dots across the front—just enough detail to tie everything together.

I love how calm and classic this card feels. It’s one of those designs that could work for so many occasions by simply switching the sentiment.
