Happy Father's Day Dad | Relaxing Waterside

Hi friends!

This Father’s Day card is giving all the peaceful lakeside vibes, and I love it. I created this beauty during my Tuesday at 10 live class, and it turned out so amazing! I used the Relaxing Waterside Bundle along with the Waterside Retreat Designer Series Paper, and wow… the softness and detail in these papers just make everything come together so effortlessly.

For this card, I started with a Thick Basic White card base and layered on a piece of Shaded Spruce. I’m in love with how that thin border of color pulls out all those soft greens in the designer series paper. I added my scenic layer of DSP right on top, and just that alone already feels like a quiet morning by the water.

Next up is that gorgeous Adirondack chair. I die-cut it from Basic White cardstock, pieced it together, and popped it up on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals to add depth. I stamped the sentiment with Basic Gray and Secret Sea ink, keeping everything soft and cohesive with the overall look.

Now for the fun details… I fussy-cut the oar and life jacket from another sheet of the designer series paper (yes, it’s worth it!) and adhered them to the chair with liquid glue. Then I tied a sweet little bow with Linen Thread and added it to the oar to fill in that negative space perfectly. To finish the front, I sprinkled a few Secret Sea embellishments across the card, just enough sparkle without taking away from that calm, relaxing scene.

And of course, I didn’t forget the inside! I added a strip of that striped designer series paper to tie everything together and give it a polished, finished look.

Waterside Retreat DSP layer (stripes): 4” x 5-1/4”
