I had so much fun creating this masculine card during my Thursday at 3 PM live class featuring the Relaxing Waterside Bundle! You can watch the replay at the bottom of this post.
This fold is called a three-step card, and isn’t it amazing?! I’m in love with all the layers and dimensions, but it still folds flat for mailing, which makes it even better!
This card was inspired by my friend Debra Harrison (see her card here). I took her design and ran with it, and I love it.
The new Peaceful Pine In Color was the perfect choice for the card base and really gives this project that relaxing lakeside feel. I paired it with the woodgrain and plaid patterns for lots of texture and cozy cabin vibes. The chair from the Relaxing Waterside Bundle completely steals the show on this card!
I stamped and die-cut all the images from the Relaxing Waterside Bundle with Basic Gray Ink for a softer look instead of traditional black. The sentiments were stamped with both Basic Gray and Secret Sea Ink, which added just the right amount of contrast without overpowering the design. The little coffee cup was colored with Crisp Cantaloupe Stampin’ Blends and adds the sweetest pop of color!
One of my favorite things about this project is all the fun dimension created with the three-step design. As the card opens, each section reveals more layers and detail, making it such a fantastic card for birthdays, Father’s Day, or anyone who loves the outdoors. It looks impressive, but it’s actually so much easier to create than it appears!
