Today I'm sharing the second card we created during last week's card class, and I have to say...this one just makes me smile. 🍓There's something about bright strawberries, pretty florals, and lots of texture that feels so fresh and happy. It's the kind of card that's perfect for sending a little encouragement or simply letting someone know you're thinking of them.
I also love that while this card looks like it has lots of detail, it comes together with just a few simple techniques that really make the design shine.

The real star of this card is all the texture! I embossed the card front with the Forever Plaid Embossing Folder, creating a beautiful background that doesn't compete with the focal image. The strawberries were colored with Strawberry Slush and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends, then popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals for extra depth. I stamped the sentiment in Strawberry Slush Ink on one of the sweet coordinating die-cut labels, and finished everything off with a simple linen thread bow and a few Strawberry Slush dots for just the right finishing touch.
To carry the design to the inside, I added a 1" x 4" strip of the coordinating flower-print Designer Series Paper along the bottom. It's a simple detail that makes the card feel polished from start to finish.
